Videanu sues Ponta

The former Economy Minister, Adriean Videanu, announced yesterday he had sued the president of the Social-Democrat Party (PSD), “given the fact that Victor Ponta continues to promote, in the public space, a backstreet, offensive and slanderous, discourse.” Adriean Videanu argues he is waiting for Victor Ponta to produce, in court, evidence backing the allegations he made “repeatedly” in reference to him, in response to the analysis he presented on the Social Liberal Union (USL)’s Economic Programme. PSD president, Victor Ponta, argued, on Monday, in a press conference, that the Democrat-Liberal Adriean Videanu was “a criminal”, whose “thefts” had left 25,000 families in Gorj jobless. Ponta made this statement after responding, visibly annoyed, to several questions asked by the journalists in reference to Videanu’s comments on USL’s economic programme.

The former Economy Minister, Adriean Videanu, stated, on Sunday, in a press conference, that USL’s economic vision was “superficial and insufficiently argued”, arguing that the Democrat Liberal Party (PDL) was working on a new plan for national economic development, based on enhancing competition.
