Bulgaria reduces Ruse-Giurgiu toll bridge tax

The toll tax was reduced, starting yesterday, charged for crossing the Ruse-Giurgiu bridge over the Danube River, under a March decision by the Bulgarian government, Mediafax cited Sofia Echo online as stating. The toll bridge tax was cut to 4 Lev, EUR 2. According to the Bulgarian press, the toll tax charged on the Romanian side of the bridge stays unchanged at the equivalent of 12 Lev, EUR 6. Bulgarian authorities are hopeful the measure will help increase the daily 900-odd motor vehicle traffic.
