Timisoara Mayor makes shocking proposal

Timisoara Mayor Gheorghe Ciuhandu has joined FC Timisoara’s disgruntled fans in calling for the team to play in another country’s championship as retaliation for its relegation. “It would be much better for FC Timisoara to play in the Hungarian or Serbian championship,” the Mayor stated for realitatea.net. The Mayor considers this a good option because the distances the team would have to travel in order to play in away games would be smaller and the abovementioned competitions have a higher degree of correctness when compared to Romania’s League I. FC Timisoara finished the season on second place but was relegated to League III because of its failure to pay off its debts. A final decision on FC Timisoara and Gloria Bistrita fate is expected on June 20 th, Mitica Dragomir, the President of the Football Proffesional League (LPF) announced on Thursday
