Dan Diaconescu wants ‘to clone’ Mihai Eminescu

After a series of shows dedicated to finding out the “truth” about the deaths of Mihai Eminescu and Marin Preda, presented on OTV, the owner of this channel, Dan Diaconescu wants to apply to the General Prosecutor’s Office for… the disinterment of the national poet. “All these rumours which fuel the mystery surrounding Eminescu’s death (e.n. rumours that the poet may have been poisoned, assassinated, etc.) will be dispelled once his remains are thoroughly analyzed,” Diaconescu stated, for “Libertatea”. The TV host has got “big” plans: he wants to sample tissue from the poet’s remains and keep it “until science advances far enough to allow risk-free human cloning”.
