Sting’s Symphonicity tour stops in Bucharest

The celebrated British musician will perform tonight in the Constitution Square.

The “Symphonicity” tour presents Sting in a series of original concerts, in which the artist performs his best-known hits in a new version, re-orchestrated for symphonic arrangement.

Boasting an impressive career, a host of platinum record-winning albums, an impressive series of hits, numberless awards and record sales of nearly 100 million records worldwide, Sting comes back to the public’s attention with his most famous songs, re-orchestrated by Jorge Jorge Calandrelli, David Hartley, Michel Legrand, Rob Mathes, Vince Mendoza, Steven Mercurio, Bill Ross, Robert Sadin and Nicola Tescari.

The selection of songs rearranged for this tour includes his best-known hits from his time in “The Police” – “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic”, “Roxanne”, “Next to You” and “Every Breath You Take” -, as well as reference songs from Sting’s solid solo career – “Englishman in New York”, “Fragile”, “Russians”. “If I Ever Lose My Faith in You”, “Fields of Gold” and “Desert Rose” -, which the artist will sing accompanied by an ensemble of brilliant musicians: Dominic Miller (guitar), Rhani Krija (percussion), Jo Lawry (vocal) and Ira Coleman (bass).

As a solo artist, as well as a member of The Police, Sting received no fewer than 16 Grammy awards, two Brit awards, a Golden Globe, an Emmy, three Oscar nominations, the Century Award trophy awarded by “Billboard Magazine” and the 2004 MusiCares Person of the Year, and was included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

The world tour is promoted worldwide by Live Nation and produced by RZO Entertainment, in association with Universal Music Management & Productions.

Tickets for this event are available as of Friday, February 25, on www.myticket.ro and in the Diverta network.
Gates open at 6pm.
