Water polo: Romania wins tournament in The Netherlands

Romania’s national water polo team won the Dutch Waterpolo Trophy, an international tournament organized in Nijverdal, The Netherlands, Agerpres informs. Romania won all three games it played, defeating Great Britain (10-4), the Netherlands (14-9) and Macedonia (14-9). Romania topped the final rankings with 9 points, followed by Macedonia (6 pts), the Netherlands (3 pts) and Great Britain (0 pts). The tournament is part of the national team’s training programme in view of the World Champion­ships in Shanghai (July 16-31, 2011).
