Romania student drowns in Arkansas lake

Cristian Bratu, a 22-year-old male medicine student from Braila on an experience exchange visit to the United States, drowned in a lake in the US state of Arkansas. Crisitan Bratu invited a group of friends to a small party by the lakeside over the weekend. He went into the water and swam for a few meters, went under the water and failed to emerge to the surface. His fellow students say he was not a good swimmer. The young man was found dead near the lake shore, in an area where the water was one and a half metres deep. The host family said they would take care of the corpse repatriation procedures. Cristian Bratu Ene moved in with the family of an American friend, as the hostels of the University of Central Arkansas where the young Romanian was studying  were closed for summer.
