N. Korea reportedly test-fires missiles

North Korea test-fired a short-range missile off its western coast in the middle of last week, according to Yonhap News Agency, quoted by CNN. Quoting an intelligence source, Yonhap says Pyongyang launched a KN-06 short-range missile in an attempt to improve it and increase its range. This launch would be the North’s first test of a short-range missile in 19 months. In July 2009, North Korea fired a series of short-range missiles off its east coast, a move criticized by the international community.
