Tour of Romania: Nechita hangs on to yellow jersey

Bulgaria’s Vladimir Koev (winner of last year’s edition) won Tuesday’s stage, finishing the 226-kilometer race (Botosani-Suceava) in 5 hours, 37 minutes and 41 hundreds of a second. Koev was followed by Greece’s Tamouridis (same time) and Italy’s Frasetto (+9 minutes). Andrei Nechita continues to top the overall rankings and will wear the yellow jersey on Wednesday too (Targu Neamt – Targu Mures, 221 kilometers). Nechita is followed by Greece’s Ioannis Tamouridis (+3 minutes, 43 seconds) and Italy’s Ciccone (+4 minutes, 12 seconds).
