Missing plane found in Hunedoara, pilot dead

The pilot of the small plane that disappeared during a flight on Monday evening and which was found by the authorities yesterday lost his life. High Court prosecutors announced that they have begun an investigation into the case. The plane wreck was found between the localities Pui and Baru Mare, Hunedoara County.

]The plane was owned by Alba Iulia businessman Mircea Ghita and was being managed by a pilot who in turn lent it to a German businessman, 47, from Deva, for a leisure flight. The German businessman, whose name was not revealed, was planning to fly from Deva to Sibot, close to Alba Iulia, a place that had a small airdrome for light aircraft. Sources with the investigation told Mediafax yesterday that investigators are also taking into consideration the possibility that the pilot committed suicide because before the flight, the businessman left an internet message to his girlfriend which can be interpreted as a goodbye note.
