Orange and Vodafone reduce roaming fees for calls in the EU

The price of calls made and received, in roaming, in the European Union has to be reduced as of July 1, in keeping with European regulations, down to EUR 0.53/minute for calls initiated and EUR 0.11/minute for calls received. Vodafone Romania announced, yesterday, it would reduce roaming fees, as of today, to the level of EU countries, in EEA countries – Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway, as well as Switzerland. Orange already announced it would reduce roaming fees, according to a release remitted to “Nine O’Clock”. For longer calls in the roaming regime, Vodafone Romania users can benefit from the Vodafone Passport option, by which they can pay, for international calls, the standard national fees, plus a connection fee for every call. At the same time, as of June 15, Orange has a new range of offers for the Holiday License and Favourite Country options, by which Orange users can pay lower fees for roaming. Furthermore, as of July 1, Orange reduces its standard fees for voice calls, in keeping with EU regulations. Orange users who activated, as of June 15, the new roaming voice options have benefited, from the moment of the activation, from lower fees, for supplementary traffic.
