Japanese stock market as cheap as Romania’s

The Japanese stock market has become approximately as cheap as Romania’s or Argentina’s markets after Tokyo stocks took a plunge following the March earthquake and the problems at the nuclear power plant in Fukushima, Mediafax informs, quoting Reuters.

Investors could return to the Tokyo stock market only if Japan is capable of overcoming the political deadlock that is blocking the policies meant to deal with the nuclear disaster and the massive public debt. Investors are eyeing large companies that have become cheap after the market collapsed in recent months, companies that have proven that they can survive despite the supply chain and production capacity problems and that are now coming online faster than expected in the most optimistic scenarios.
