Express train hits lorry

Railway traffic between Arad and Oradea was blocked for 35 minutes yesterday after an express train hit a lorry in Comlaus commune, Arad County. There were no victims. According to representatives of the Arad train station, the train was traveling from Arad to Oradea. According to Camelia Tuduce, spokesperson of the Arad County Police, the lorry was being driven by a Bulgarian citizen and had a cargo of wood. “The driver ignored the railway crossing and was hit by the express train. There were no victims and preliminary investigations show that the train suffered minor damages and the lorry was not overturned, being simply pushed across the railway tracks,” Tuduce stated for Mediafax.
