Alexandru Mavrodineanu’s “Music in the Blood” awarded in Norway

“Music in the Blood” was designated the best international film in the Norwegian Short Film Festival, which took place recently in Grimstad. The film director Alexandru Mavrodineanu was present at the festival, with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Stockholm, and collected The Golden Chair trophy during the award gala organized on Sunday, June 19. The film was also awarded the EUR 6,000-prize offered by the Zentropa International Norway production company. The jury’s motivation goes as follows: “There aren’t many films that say good things about human nature. The winner of The Golden Chair trophy is doing it in the most honest fashion. This is a moving, yet unsentimental, film about the relationship between father and son.”

The short-reel film “Music in the Blood” ran, in the international competition, alongside other 27 films from 19 countries, ICR informs.
