The leadership of the Babes-Bolyai University’s Economic Science Faculty has initiated exclusion procedures against a professor for “reproachable and inadmissible behavior” after he was filmed asking sexual favors from a student in exchange for helping her out with her B.A. thesis. “The Faculty’s Dean’s Office and College of the Professors’ Council have initiated exclusion procedures against Professor Ilie Parpucea for reproachable and inadmissible behavior. Elena Filip, the manager of the ‘Economica I’ students’ hostel, has filed her resignation for violating the housing statute by allowing the aforementioned teacher to illegally use a room in the hostel,” the communiqué reads. According to ProTV, a junior student at the Economic Science Faculty secretly filmed Mathematics Professor Ilie Parpucea (61). The naked professor can be seen in the students’ hostel room asking her to take off her clothes. The student stated for ProTV that the professor tried to put his hands on her and asked her if she is ready, adding that she should not be naive. The student also stated she did not expect this kind of behavior and ran from the room. The student added that she had asked Parpucea to help her with her thesis and met him several times, both in his office and in the hostel room the teacher was using.
