Transelectrica hopes to obtain EUR 80 M by selling a 15 pc stake held by the Ministry of Economy before the end of this year, the CEO of the company, Horia Hahaianu said, quoted by Mediafax. Apart from selling this package of 15 pc the company also wants to float on the capital market an adjacent package of 12 pc resulting from a capital increase.
Hahaianu explained that the two packages of shares will be put on sale on the Bucharest Stock Exchange simultaneously, this year. The statements were made on the occasion of the opening of the first recharge station for electric cars in Romania. In an annex of the letter of intent to the IMF, the government pledged to sell 20 pc of CFR Marfa, maximum 20 pc of Tarom, 10 pc of Petrom, 15 pc of Transelectrica, 15 pc of Transgaz, 15 pc of Romgaz and at least 10 pc of Hidroelectrica and Nuclearelectrica.
