Greek president on official visit to Romania

The Greek president, Karolos Papoulias, is, today and tomorrow, on an official visit to Romania, at the invitation of the president Traian Basescu, according to a release by the Presidential Administration. According to figures supplied by the Foreign Ministry, Romanian-Greek bilateral trade amounted, on April 30, 2010, to EUR 328.77 M, shrinking by 6.49 pc as compared to April 2009. On May 31, there were 4,846 companies with Greek capital registered in Romania, amounting to a total joint stock of EUR 1.77 bln, which entitles them to the fifth position in the ranking of foreign investors, accounting for 5.49 pc out of total foreign investments in Romania.
