At the invitation of His Highness the Sovereign Prince of Monaco, Their Royal Highnesses the Crown Princess Margareta and Prince Radu of Romania will embark on a three days’ visit to the Principality of Monaco, to attend the state ceremonies occasioned by the wedding of Prince Albert II to Miss Charlene Wittstock. According to a release by the Romanian Royal House, on Friday, July 1, the Crown Princess and Prince Radu will attend a dinner offered by Mr. José Badia, the Monegasque Foreign Minister. On Saturday, the two will take part in a luncheon hosted by HE Mr. Michel Roger, the head of the Monegasque Cabinet. At 5pm, the Romanian princely couple will attend the ceremony of the wedding of Prince Albert II to Miss Charlene Wittstock in the Main Courtyard of the Princely Palace. The ceremony will be performed by His Eminence Bernard Barsi, Archbishop of Monaco. On Saturday evening, the Crown Princess and Prince Radu will attend the state dinner and ball offered, at the Opéra Garnier, by the Sovereign Prince Albert II, which will start at 9.30pm. On Sunday, July 3, the Crown Princess Margareta and Prince Radu will join the Sovereign Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene for a family breakfast at the Princely Palace.
The wedding present the Romanian Royal Family prepared for the Monegasque princely couple consists in a double photograph frame and a case, made of leather, especially designed, for this occasion, by the artist Dan Coma, bearing the colours of the Monegasque flag.
