According to the statement of wealth signed by the head of state on June 13 and posted on the Presidential Administration’s website, the president Traian Basescu collected an income of RON 70,374 from his pay, in 2010. The president also included in the statement the 46.9 sq m-flat in Constanta he inherited from his parents, which he has full ownership of, alongside his wife, Maria Basescu. Furthermore, the value of the account the president Basescu has at ABN Bucharest rose, compared to the figures reported in October 2010, by approx. USD 1,000, amounting to USD 44,548. At the same time, the head of state’s USD account at ING rose, compared to last year’s figures, by approximately the same amount, to USD 36,373. Traian Basescu also has an account in EUR at ING, whose value rose by EUR 3,000, compared to last autumn, amounting to EUR 29,453. The president’s RON deposit at BCR rose by about RON 60,000, amounting to RON 310,372. Traian Basescu’s card account at BCR slumped, in the same interval, by approx. RON 20,000, to RON 52,504. According to the statement, the head of state collected, in 2010, an income of RON 70,374 from his pay.
