USL wants to win the City Hall and the six district halls

Social Democratic Party (PSD) President Victor Ponta yesterday said the Social-Liberal Union (USL) is set to get the City hall and Bucharest’s six district halls in 2012, as well as the absolute majority in the General Council of the Bucharest Municipality (CGMB). “This time, it won’t happen what did in 2004 or 2008, when we picked a runner who didn’t even make it into the second round of the mayoral elections, when we only got two district halls out of six, or took the third slot in the first round of presidential elections,” Ponta said, who wants the USL to have absolute majority in the CGMB so that the Union’s vision of Bucharest can be fulfilled.
