Boagiu okays the financing of last two sectors without funds

The minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Anca Boagiu gave green light to financing the last two sectors that had not received European money through the Sectoral Operational Programme Transport (POS-T) 2007-2013, namely the ‘Modernisation and development of air transport infrastructure’ and the ‘Promotion of intermodal transport,’ Mediafax informs. The two programmes will enjoy financing representing 1.35 pc of the total allotments through POS-T, i.e. approximately EUR 64 M. “The major intervention field – Modernisation and development of air transport infrastructure – addresses all Romanian airports that meet the Category D conditions, with a traffic under 1 million passengers a year and can prove that they provide an economic service of general interest, so they are entitled to be compensated the expenses made with the investment in the project that makes the object of the financing application,” reads a press release issued by the Transport Ministry.
