PCM to initiate referendum for the autonomy of the Szeklers’ Land

Following talks with the leaders of county councils from the regions inhabited by ethnic Hungarian population, the Hungarian Civic Party (PCM) will initiate a referendum for the autonomy of the Szeklers’ Land, as part of the administrative reorganisation of the country, PCM vice-president Fazakas Tibor announced in a press conference yesterday. According to the source, the referendum will allow the inhabitants of Covasna, Harghita and Mures regions to say their opinion about this idea.
