Govt. shuts down hospital, yet builds funeral chapels

The government decided to allot RON 3.15 M from the reserve fund to rural investments, namely the construction and modernization of cultural houses and funeral chapels, as well as expansion of some parks and sports fields already in place, Antena 3 reports quoting Fin.ro. RON 900,000 have been injected into the rehabilitation of a cultural house in the Draxini village, Botosani County, an amount nine times higher than that allocated to the “Tamasi Aron” Theatre in Sfantu Gheorghe. A funeral chapel in the Tomesti Commune, Harghita, costs RON 100,000, twice the sum distributed to the “Prof. Dr, Octavian Fodor” Emergency Hospital in Cluj-Napoca. The law however stipulates that the money from the reserve must only be used for emergency situations, unpredictable expenditures during the fiscal year.
