The timetable was set at the headquarters of the Professional football League (LPF) yesterday of the matches in the League 11 2011/2012 season. Crowned champions Otelul Galati will kick off the season against freshly promoted Petrolul Ploiesti in Buzau, where the team will play their home matches until modernization works are completed at the Ilie Oana field, realitatea.net reports. Third-placed FC Vaslui will play away opposite Rapid in what is held as the star game of round 1. Steaua too will start off the season away, against the newly promoted Vointa Sibiu, and Dinamo will play home against FCM Targu Mures.
The first Bucharest derby match of the season will pit Dinamo against Rapid, round 7. Steaua and Rapid will meet in round 13, and Dinamo – Steaua, 16. If by July 22, when the championship is set to begin, the Sports Arbitration Tribunal will rule in favour of FC Timisoara, Gloria Bistrita and FC Bihor, who dispute their relegation on grounds of not being given League1 licenses, they will take the place of Sportul Studentesc, Vointa Sibiu and CS Mioveni respectively.
