PSD accuses Government of favouring PDL mayor’s offices

The head of the Social Democratic Party (PSD)’s Departmental Chancellery, Ilie Stefan, claims that, out of the RON 124 M allotted by the Governmental to rural mayor’s offices, 90 pc went to those with Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) mayors. According to Stefan, out of the 1,000 villages which were allotted funds, approx. 35, in every county, are run by PDL mayors, while only four or five have Social Liberal Union (USL) mayors. “It is the same ratio in all counties. In fact, this government resolution (HG), which should have been an equidistant one, in everyone’s best interest, turned into a resolution which grants money for the party. The way in which the funds were divided here compels me to pursue a further question, where the money goes, exactly. Out of the RON 124 M, if we extrapolate the percentage in Dambovita and Prahova, we find that over 100 M went to villages with PDL mayors and only the remaining amount to those with USL mayors,” the Social-Democrat concluded, quoted by Realitatea TV.
