Presidential adviser Alexandru Gussi relieved of his duties

According to the Presidential Administration, President Traian Basescu Friday signed the decree relieving Alexandru Gussi from the position of presidential adviser on education and research. The decree goes into effect from today.

Political sources told Mediafax that Alexandru Gussi was relieved of his duties at his request, on grounds of “personal reasons”. He was appointed to the position two years ago, when he replaced previous holder Cristian Preda, elected as a Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) EMP in June 2009.
