Dacia sales decline

First-half sales of Dacia cars and commercial vehicles fell 2.9 per cent, to 176,956 units, from 182,153 year-on-year, Mediafax reported, quoting a Monday release issued by French car manufacturer Renault. The number of Dacia cars sold during January-June of this year dropped 2.1 per cent, from 169,901 to 166,374. The sales of light commercial vehicles too were on the decline, by 13.6 per cent, from 1,348 to 1,374 units. Over the same interval, the Renault Group posted a 1.9 per cent rise in sales of automobiles and light commercial vehicles, to 1.374 M.
