Cabinet appoints new general consul in Lyon

The Government appointed, by a resolution approved in its Wednesday meeting, a new general consul in Lyon. The new consul will be Gabriela Dancau, according to HotNews.ro. Since 2009, Dancau has acted as director of the Consular Relations Department within the Foreign Ministry, an institution where she had been employed since 2000.

Dancau obtained a Master’s degree in Extensive International Relations from the Centre d’Etudes Diplomatiques et Strategiques in Paris and is a member of Romania’s Diplomatic and Consular Corps. The office of consul general, the head of the Romania’s General Consulate in Lyon, remained vacant following Gabriel George Stanescu’s recall.
