Crédit Agricole Group the major shareholder of Emporiki Bank Group

Crédit Agricole, the leading retail bank in France and one of the largest banks in the world by the number of assets is the majority shareholder of Emporiki Bank Group. The new strategy emphasizes the strengthening of the French and international growth by standardizing business processes for its global operations. In achieving this goal was developed and implemented the project of changing the core banking system of international subsidiaries.

4th of July 2011 new core banking system successfully implemented in Emporiki Bank – Romania.

By implementing this new system Crédit Agricole Group is stressing its ongoing commitment to develop Romanian subsidiary by updating the system to new technologies, next-generation platform being capable of sustaining long-term strategy, product diversification and increased customer service. The new IT platform will facilitate the implementation of common products and services within the Crédit Agricole Group subsidiaries, standardization procedures, quality and best practice implementation of the Group, strengthening banking information, creating a global infrastructure to facilitate analysis and decision making.
