Bucharest – Summer Quarter

Between July 16 and September 4, on Saturdays and Sundays it’s holiday-time in the Bucharest parks: Cismigiu, Herastrau, Lumea Copiilor, Sebastian and Moghioros. For the third consecutive year, the “Bucharest – Summer Quarter” manifestation invites Bucharestians to spend their weekend outdoors, watching open-air theatre performances or live concerts.

According to Arcub, every weekend, all summer round, starting 10am and, respectively, 8pm, you can choose from the wide range of events on offer: programmes for children, commedia dell’arte, magic and classical shows, or accomplished performances offered by prestigious artists of the Bucharest theatres. In Cismigiu Park, the shows start at 5pm. As of August 20, the shows will start at 7pm. The programme will vary depending on the availability of venues.

The “Bucharest – Summer Quarter” programme is organized by the Bucharest City  Council’s Education, Culture, Religious Denominations and Sports Committee, the Bucharest Mayor’s Office via ArCuB – The Cultural Projects Centre and the Culture, Education and Tourism Office, in partnership with the Sector 4 Mayor’s Office, Sector 5 Mayor’s Office and Sector 6 Mayor’s Office, via the European Cultural Centre.
