Lupu stated that, following the invitation he had received from the Presidential Administration, he got in touch with the representatives of the Presidency and that the play was to be performed on July 20, starting 7:30pm, in the Cotroceni Palace’s theatre hall, which can accommodate 150 spectators. On the same occasion, Stefanis Lupu announced that access to the show would be granted based on an invitation.
“We wanted to put tickets on sale, but it was more complicated, which is why we decided access would be granted based on invitations,” the director stated.
He added that he hoped President Traian Basescu would be present for the performance. “We want the president to see this show, but we are not sure he will join us,” he explained, arguing that he did not know yet which members of the Presidential Administration were going to attend the performance. “We offered 20 invitations for the Presidential Administration,” Stefanis Lupu further stated.
Furthermore, the performance of “The blonde, the one-eyed man and the midget” will have a charitable agenda.
“We wish to launch seven young playwrights, and those who come to see the show will be able to make donations,” Stefanis Lupu announced, adding that a collection box would be placed at the entrance, where every participant would be able to donate the amount he/she chooses.
