“Palace Music” national tour to kick off on August 6

The second edition of the “Muzica Palatelor Romaniei” National Tour will take place between August 6 and 21, organized by Radio Romania Cultural and ExcesMusic, via the “Oportunitati la tine acasa” programme, funded by the Romanian Musicians’ Performing Creation Union. This year also, castles and palaces, places laden with history and beauty, will get additional promotion through the art of sounds. During the six recitals, the Cantabile Quartet from Iasi will present works by Franz Schubert, Joseph Haydn and Hugo Wolf. The ensemble is conducted by Constantin Stanciu, a member of the celebrated Cvartet Voces. According to the organizers, the concerts will take place on Saturday, August 6, starting 8pm, on the Danube Esplanade in Galati; Sunday, August 7, at the Sturdza Castle in Miclauseni; Wednesday, August 10, at the Union Museum in Iasi; Thursday, August 18, at the Cluj Napoca Art Museum; Saturday, August 20, at the Peles Castle, and on Sunday, August 21, at the Mogosoaia Palace. The last five concerts will start at 5pm.
