Police Academy admission exam will be probed for irregularities

The minister of Administration and Interior, Traian Igas ordered the Control Body of the minister to probe the medical units of the Ministry in the Gorj, Dolj, Constanta, Vrancea and Brasov counties, as nine candidates were not allowed to take the admission exam to the ‘Alexandru Ioan Cuza’ Police Academy, on medical reasons, the ministry announces in a press release. Minister Igas also ordered video cameras to be installed in all examination rooms. The exam is monitored by the General Anticorruption Directorate, the General Department of Information and Internal Protection, and the Control Body of the minister. Competition for a place at the Police Academy is high, with 2,653 candidates (1,873 boys and 780 girls) disputing only 551 places.
