Romania mulls training Libyan reconstruction experts

Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi announced on Monday at the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) meeting that Romania mulls organizing post-conflict stabilization and reconstruction training programmes for Libyan experts, the Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry informs, being quoted by Mediafax. The Minister underlined the importance of mobilizing the international community in order to put a quick end to the crisis in Libya. “We have to continue to send a clear and coherent message for the Libyan people in what concerns the EU’s commitment to support the transformations in that country and to reaffirm Libya’s territorial integrity and unity,” he said. The FAC meeting’s agenda was dominated by developments in Northern Africa and the Middle East, the Council adopting resolutions that concern Libya, Syria and Lebanon.
