Staropramen beer kicks off in Romania

Bergenbier company yesterday launched on the Romanian market the best sold Czech beer around the world, the Staropramen, Mediafax informs. In Romania, the Staropra­men beer is produced at the Bergen­bier brewery of Ploiesti, in glass bottles of 0.5 and 0.33 liters, and in metal cans of 0.5 liters. The beer will cost between 2 and 3 RON in retail chains. Bergenbier expects beer sales to further decline in 2011, for the third year in a row, with less than 10 pc. In Q1 this year, beer sales in Romania dropped by 2 pc against the similar period of 2010, to 2.8 million hectoliters.
