Fourteen suspects were questioned yesterday, following searches conducted the same morning in the Prahova and Ialomita counties, aimed at dismantling a ring of house burglars and car thieves. According to the spokeswoman of the Prahova County Police, Raluca Brezeanu, quoted by Mediafax, the ring included 14 Prahova inhabitants aged between 20 and 40, who are now probed for theft and association in view of criminal activities. “The criminals stole things worth an estimated RON 650,000,” Raluca Brezeanu said. A Police investigation led to the conclusion that the 14 suspects forced their way into several homes belonging to rich people and stole electronics and cell phones, which they carried with stolen vehicles they abandoned at destination.
