Financial guard check-up in China Town shopping center

The Romanian Financial Guard applied fines amounting to RON 55,000 (about EUR 12,000) following a surprise checkup of economic operators in the China Town shopping center, opened two days ago in Afumati, near Bucharest, Mediafax informs. Authorities suspended the activity of two economic operators and five stores were closed for investigations. Tax authorities started checkups following media reports that shops in the center have no registers and don’t give out receipts. Bucharest Financial Guard deputy chief Constantin Teodor told Mediafax that only 30 pc of the stores are currently occupied by economic operators.
