Natural gas consumption to increase 1.4 pc per year

Forecasts about the evolution of natural gas consumption in Central and Western Europe hint to an average annual increase by 1.4 pc in the next 20 years, and new supply grids are under development. In Romania, only little more than half of households are connected to the natural gas grid, according to the latest national surveys, reads a press release issued by Syscom 18, a provider of integrated industrial solutions for the gas sector, and country leader in industrial automation and measuring systems. However, Romania too is falling in line with the European trend of gas consumption increase, as the energy infrastructure is developing, said Ion Andronache, the president of Syscom 18.
