The Summer Theatre in Herastrau Park will host, for three weeks, every Monday as of today, theatre performances which the public can watch by paying the symbolic amount of RON 1. The first play in the series, to be performed tonight, is “What Shall We Do with the Cello?”, directed by Mihai Lungeanu, based on Matei Visniec’s text. The event is part of the Ludika project, meant to draw a younger audience to the theatre and to promote young actors. “I wish to thank the ‘Constantin Tanase’ Theatre’s management for their openness to this project. (…) This is a challenge for us as well – our target is a full house for every edition of Ludika. It isn’t easy, given that there are over 2,000 seats, but I am persuaded that the young public in Bucharest needs such events,” Dan Serbulea, Managing Partner Eventness, the event organizer, stated, quoted by Mediafax.
