The deputy president of the National Liberal Party (PNL), Mihai Voicu, stated, yesterday, during a press conference in Bistrita, that the main priority, in the Social Liberal Union (USL)’s view, was replacing the entire Cabinet, rather than talks of a reshuffle.
“As far as we are concerned, the main priority is replacing the Cabinet as such, rather than talks of a reshuffle we are not concerned with. They will replace Igas with Botis no. 2. What will we solve by that? Nothing,” Voicu stated, quoted by Mediafax.
“If we cannot replace it by a no-confidence vote, we will undoubtedly replace it in the elections, but we will keep our eyes on the no-confidence motion, to be filed when we secure the needed majority. I cannot say when this will happen,” Voicu further argued.
The Liberal deputy Alina Gorghiu also referred to a renewed intention of bringing down the current Cabinet. “We do not have the majority needed to bring down the Boc Cabinet for now, but I believe that putting an end to a government which is now backed by under 10 pc of the people is a duty we have to our voters,” she argued, according to the same source. On the same occasion, the MP invited, once again, the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR) to leave the ruling coalition and join the opposition before 2012.
