The chart was put together based on information provided by dignitaries’ wealth statements. Isarescu comes first in the ranking, with a wealth of EUR 1,083,501. He is followed by the head of the National Tax Administration Agency, with EUR 866,675, Bucharest General Mayor Sorin Oprescu, with EUR 821,912 and President Traian Basescu, with EUR 800,000. The top 5 is closed by Competition Council president Bogdan Chiritoiu, with EUR 789,285. The next positions are taken by Constitutional Court president Augustin Zegrean (EUR 688,117), National Anticorruption Directorate chief Daniel Morar (EUR 312,665), Romanian Police chief Liviu Popa (EUR 230,620) and Romanian Intelligence Agency chief George Maior (EUR 144,329).
