Two persons were killed and eight others were seriously wounded yesterday after a vehicle entered the opposite lane and collided with a minivan on National Road 1, just outside Sibiu. According to preliminary information, the crash that took place around 1 PM was caused by speeding. A driver was no longer able to control his car, hit the road separators and collided with a minivan. The two persons that were in the car lost their lives and eight of the minivan’s passengers were injured. Traffic in the area was completely blocked for almost two hours.
