Gines Melendez’s side were two goals to the good at half-time thanks to fine strikes from Gerard Deulofeu and Pablo Sarabia, Juanmi adding a third shortly after the restart. Alvaro Morata then took his tournament tally to six goals with a late double, setting up a final meeting with the Czech Republic on Monday. Featuring seven changes to the team that lost 3-0 in their last Group B encounter against Turkey, Spain looked to return to the form that saw them produce eight goals in their opening two encounters. The Czech Republic will play in the UEFA European Under-19 Championship final for the first time after seeing off Serbia’s spirited fightback in a breathless semi-final.
