Banca Transilvania reported after the first half-year net earnings of RON 65.6 M (EUR 15.6 M), nearly double the RON 33.2 M-earnings reported for the same interval of the preceding year, Mediafax reports. “Results reported in the first half-year are, once again, encouraging. Our targets were a sustainable growth of our earnings and market share. All the four business lines of the bank were managed in keeping with the present economic context”, the director general of the bank, Robert Rekkers, stated, in a release. Gross earnings for the first half-year amounted to RON 85.2 M, rising by 42 pc compared to the RON 60 M-earnings for the same interval of 2010. Net provision expenses in the first six months of 2011 amounted, in turn, to RON 295 M, RON 35 M below the value reported for the same interval of the preceding year.
