On July, National Bank of Romania’s (BNR) foreign exchange reserves stood at EUR 32,680 M, compared to EUR 34,402 M on June, according to a press release. During the last month, the following flows have taken place: EUR 1,372 M inflows, representing changes in the Ministry of Public Finances’ accounts, changes in the foreign exchange reserve requirements of the credit institutions, income from the management of foreign exchange reserves; EUR 3,094 M outflows, representing interest and principal payments on foreign currency public debt, changes in the foreign exchange reserve requirements of the credit institutions, outflows from the European Commission’s account. The gold stock has held steady at 103.7 tonnes. Also BNR announced yesterday that for this month the reference rate remains at 6.25 pc.
