British artist Ian Brown and UNKLE Sounds, a project of fellow-Brit James Lavelle, will be the highlight of the Control Day Out event to take place on September 10, at Bucharest’s Roman Arena.
The event is planned out as a long night of live concerts and DJ sets, featuring Ian Brown, UNKLE Sounds, Suie Paparude and others, one last outdoor party for those feeling nostalgic for summer festivals, before the autumn forces party-lovers to seek refuge back in the clubs, according to a release by the organizers.
Known to the Romanian public mainly for his collaborations with UNKLE (“Reign”, “Fear”, “Be There”), as well as for his subsequent album, “Solarized” (the fourth in his solo career), Ian Brown rose to fame as the lead vocal of the celebrated alternative rock band The Stone Roses. UNKLE Sounds, the latest project of the versatile British artist James Lavelle (UNKLE), is an electronic live set, complete with coordinated projections on giant screens, a massive audiovisual show which will make its debut this summer at the prestigious Reading and Leeds Festivals.
Tickets can be purchased in advance, at RON 50, from Eventim.ro or from the Eventim network: Orange, Vodafone, Germanos and Domo shops, Humanitas and Carturesti bookshops, as well as the Control Club and the Shift Pub. On the night of the event, tickets will be available at RON 65, at the entrance. Access will be barred to spectators under 18.
