Astra head coach Tibor Selymes sacked

Tibor Selymes is the first head coach to be sacked in the new League I season, the decision coming after only two legs. “It’s natural to be disappointed,” the former Romanian international pointed out. Selymes was sacked after Astra lost to CFR Cluj (0-2) and Vointa Sibiu (0-1). The team’s entire technical staff was also sacked. Moreover, EUR 3 M will be cut from the team’s budget and the administrative personnel will be cut by 25 per cent. Astra is 15th, with 0 points after two legs. Astra will next play against CS Mioveni.
