Gov’t will buy four armored automobiles for diplomatic missions

The government will grant the Ministry of Foreign Affairs derogation from the ban on purchasing new vehicles imposed to public institutions, allowing it to buy four armored automobiles for the diplomatic missions located in war zones, as revealed by the draft budget rectification. “By derogation from the provisions of Emergency Ordinance 34/2009, from the sums approved for 2011 (the Ministry) may purchase four armored automobiles for the diplomatic missions located in armed conflict zones,” reads the document quoted by Mediafax.
