350 US Marines, 200 Romanian troops in joint drill

About 250 US Marines and 200 Romanian troops yesterday took part in a joint sea assault drill at the Capu Media shooting range, according to Mediafax. The Navy Forces General Staff said the drill was part of the Summer Storm Romanian-American exercise held between July 30 and August 30. Organizers say the drill was done for the first time in Romania, as part of the US military’s efforts to strengthen the partnership with the Romanian Navy Forces and increase inter-operability at the Black Sea.
