Raiffeisen Bank – network of 10,000 EPOS and 1,100 ATMs in Romania

Raiffeisen Bank currently has a network of 10,000 EPOS and 1,100 ATMs in Roma­nia. According to a press release, Raiffeisen Bank now has approximately 1.7 M valid cards issued in their portfolio, out of which over 350,000 are shopping cards. “Trans­ition from classical payment methods, in cash, to the use of electronic devices is a long-term process and co-involves all the players on the banking market, as well as product and service-providers which may encourage electronic payments. “The figures are encouraging. Payments by card in shops by Raiffeisen Bank clients rose by 22 pc in the first half-year compared to the first half of 2010,” Titi Stoenescu, Executive Director of Raiffeisen Bank’s Credit Card Division, stated.
